Frick Shell Ice Maker - 25 Ton
Frick Shell Ice Maker. Approximate capacity: 25 tons per day of shell/fragmented ice. Previously used with ammonia refrigerant. The Frick Shell-Ice Makers are automatic ice making units designed to economically produce clear, solid fragmented ice in large quantities. The design is very basic in construction, consisting of a freezing section and harvesting section. To make ice, water is sprayed down the outside of the vertical stainless steel refrigerated tubes. As the water travels down the tubes it hardens into ice. Once the desired thickness has been achieved, the tubes go into a defrost cycle which causes the accumulated ice to crack and slide off into the harvesting discharge auger. Common applications include vegetables, fruits, poultry, and fish packing. Also used as a process ingredient in the meat, baking, or concrete industry. Tube quantity: 26. Tube diameter/length: 4 in / 10 ft. Inlets: (1) 1 ½ in. dia. port, (2) 4 in. dia. port. Outlets: (3) 2 in. dia. port. Estimated weight: 16,000 lbs. Overall dimensions: 6 ft. 8 in. L x 9 ft. 5 in. W x 19 ft. 6 in. H. (ACNxx-61).
